LAS OLAS BEACH CLUB

This
remarkable 29 story project has been the talk of the town since it was first
proposed.
Expect floor to
ceiling windows and unbelievable views of Fort Lauderdale's glorious beach, our
Intracoastal Waterway and the glittering new office and residential towers of
downtown.
Residences will
range from 1902 square feet plus lavish terraces and start at $800,000. The
smallest unit has two terraces, totaling more than 200 square feet of outdoor
living space.
The largest in
the main tower depicted in the artist's rendering to the right will be a
floor-thru model with east and west terraces. It will offer three bedrooms plus
den and four full baths in more than 3000 square feet of luxurious air
conditioned space. Two expansive terraces bring the total to nearly 3600 square
feet of opulent living space. These gracious homes will start at just over $1
million.
Individual
residences will be the ultimate in luxury, featuring private elevators, and too
many first rate amenities to detail here but will include everything one would
expect from a project by the Related Group, a distinguished South Florida
developer responsible for
Aquazul,
Beach Club In
Hallandale and other
visionary projects.
Penthouses will
run to more than $3 million according to reports published in the
Sun-Sentinel. (August 25, 2003)
In addition,
details are forthcoming on nine very special residences on the beach side of the
building (left foreground in artist's rendering above) behind the sensitively
preserved and restored facade of the Lauderdale Beach Hotel, a 1936 art-deco
landmark that had been slated for demolition but will instead become part of
Fort Lauderdale's future as part of this new project.
In addition to
that distinctive architectural feature, Las Olas Beach Club will include other
fine design work.
The Toronto
architectural firm of Yabu Pushelberg has reportedly been selected for the two
story lobby, where slab stone and rich hardwood panels are planned.
This firm was
founded in 1980 by George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg. Their work has been
covered in Architectural Record and their credits range from the lobby of
the W Hotel in New York's Times Square to the interior of the
Four Seasons Hotel in
Marunouchi, Tokyo. They were design partners in renovation of the classic art
deco interior of the Tiffany & Co. flagship store as well as a new plaza level
of the world renowned Bergdorf Goodman department store, both on New York's
Fifth Avenue.
In addition, we
look forward to magnificent landscaping and water features, a state-of-the-art
health and fitness center, a port cochere entrance, a magnificent pool and spa
area with fountains and a poolside bar overlooking the beach, a billiard parlor,
game room, screening room, and more than one great eatery and retail space.
Services will include a 24 hour concierge and valet parking.
Jorge Perez,
Chairman and CEO of Related Group told the Sun-Sentinel's Robyn Friedman,
"We're really trying to make this into a club to provide all the amenities that
anybody would ever want."
Price from
$800's to over $3 million.
