condominium construction. Sunny Isles is steadily replacing outdated motels with
luxury residential oceanfront development.
Much of the residential construction is not for
year-round occupancy, however the statistics show a steady growth in young
families who desire to be near the ocean.
Shoppers and commuters find they can reach Sunny Isles Beach from virtually
all of South Florida in less than 30 minutes. And shopping is something you
would want to do here! Waterfront shops, and beautiful quaint stores line the
streets of Sunny Isles Beach. Visit one of the many museums, art galleries or
luxurious malls in the Greater Miami area. There is something for everyone here
in Sunny Isles Beach. Prospective homeowners can find everything from cozy starter homes to elegant
waterfront properties in Sunny Isles Beach. Condominiums and comfortable rental
apartments in an array of convenient and attractive locations are also
available. Housing is restricted because of the relatively small geographical
area, but the advantage is you are never far from the sound of the ocean and the
bay. House prices are average for the area, starting in the low 80’s for a
smaller single-family home and soaring into the millions for an expansive
property right on the beachfront.
Sunny Isles is experiencing a major redevelopment renaissance
on the east side of Collins Avenue, the main thoroughfare. Zoning laws ensure
that view corridors and beach access pathways will always offer residents a life
with a view. To the west of Collins Avenue, the City is building parks,
improving the infrastructure and laying the groundwork for future redevelopment.
Neighborhood community centers and enterprising community groups dedicated to
enhancing Sunny Isles Beach “small town near a big city” feel, increase the
strong sense of neighborhood identity.
